Since 2019-09-01 I am married to my wonderful wife Natalia.
I have several hobbies. Here are some.
- I very much enjoy reading. I mostly read sci-fi and horror novels, specifically ones from the long XIX century. I also enjoy essays on technology and philosophy, as well as biographies.
- I have the hobby of restoring, converting and collecting vintage mechanical keyboards. I am specifically fond of IBM keyboard with capacitive switch designs (capacitive buckling spring and beam spring). My current daily drivers are an IBM Model F keyboard of the IBM 3270 terminal (the "Battleship") and a ZSA Moonlander Dark Matter, fitted with Gateron Silent Ink, filmed and lubed with Krytox GPL 205 Grade 0, and clipped with QMX clips.
- I play the guitar. I like to play a lot of different genres; currently, I use a Fender Stratocaster USA, in the David Gilmour color scheme.
- I used to teach and practice historical fencing and martial arts, in the schools of Fiore de'i Liberi of the Imperial tradition for the two-handed sword and Giovanni dall'Agocchie, Antonio Manciolino and Achille Marozzo of the Bolognese tradition for the sidesword.
- I am into weightlifting.
I like to curate the items I carry with me every day for maximum function.
I always try to properly fix and reuse things, instead of replacing them.
